Isabel Allende wins Spain's €1m Premio Planeta

Chilean writer Isabel Allende, 84, won Spain's €1m Premio Planeta, a literary prize for unpublished manuscripts, for La hora antes del alba. The award, the 75th edition, was presented in Barcelona. The novel is a sequel to her 1982 debut The House of the Spirits and follows Alba recovering from imprisonment under Pinochet's dictatorship in Chile.
