Osborne helped secure US$6.6m Tulchinsky gift for Bayeux Tapestry show
Former chancellor George Osborne helped secure a US$6.6 million sponsorship from hedge-fund billionaire Igor Tulchinsky for the British Museum in London's Bayeux Tapestry exhibition, ARTnews reported. The museum says the loan display was made possible by Tulchinsky's generous support. Middle East Eye reported emails indicate Osborne facilitated the approach via a Tulchinsky-linked New York fund.
