UK police assess national security adviser's wife's post over Palestine Action

Police said Oct. 16, 2026 they are assessing an X post by Sarah Helm, wife of National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell, saying: "God help us authors who support Palestine and Palestine Action." Palestine Action is banned in Britain as a terrorist group, where support can mean up to 14 years in prison. The government said Helm does not represent it.
