BBC Studios chief says linear will fund streaming for five to 10 years

Marcus Arthur, CEO for Global Channels & Streaming at BBC Studios, told Deadline streaming-first is 'absolutely paramount' but linear, meaning scheduled channels, stays 'hugely important for profits' for five to 10 years. He oversees channels and streaming outside the US, a £788m business in 2025/26, Deadline reported.
