1-54 London introduces historical strand for Modern African artists

1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair added history to its contemporary line-up, according to The Art Newspaper. Its 14th London edition at Somerset House in London, 15-18 October, introduced Modern Spotlight, curated stand presentations spotlighting Modern artists from Africa and its diaspora. Founding director Touria El Glaoui said the edition places African artists as authors of Modern and contemporary art history.
