ABC orders Grey's Anatomy Texas spinoff to series for midseason

Deadline reported ABC has ordered to series an untitled Grey's Anatomy spinoff, a straight-to-series order, meaning no pilot is shot first, for midseason in 2026-2027. Co-created by Meg Marinis and Shonda Rhimes, it is set at a rural West Texas medical centre described as "the last chance for care before miles of nowhere", Marinis told The Hollywood Reporter.
