Google Shows Source Links More Prominently in AI Search Answers

Google says it has sharply increased inline links — clickable source references placed directly in the text — in AI Overviews and AI Mode, showing them higher up and more often. That changes how credit appears inside AI-generated answers and how readers get to publisher websites.
