Trump says Fort Hood shooter's execution will not be livestreamed

US President Donald Trump said on 15 October 2026 the military execution of Nidal Hasan will not be shown live online. The decision followed bipartisan criticism of a Pentagon proposal to broadcast it. Hasan killed 13 soldiers and injured 32 others at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009.
