Amazon MGM dropped Artificial after OpenAI deal; Neon took global rights
Amazon MGM Studios dropped Luca Guadagnino's nearly finished 'Artificial' from its slate in June, Variety reported. The exit came about three months after Amazon signed a $50 billion investment partnership with OpenAI, Variety reported. The studio said "We believe that 'Artificial' will be better served if it were released by a different studio." Neon then acquired global rights, Variety reported.
