England to triple organic farmland by 2036

The UK government wants 10% of England's farmland farmed organically by 2036, up from 3.4%, in its 10-year Organic Action Plan published 14 October 2026. It links expansion to home demand and public buying, like schools and hospitals. Take-up will likely depend on prices, contracts and processing capacity.
