UK sets 10% organic farmland ambition for England by 2036
The UK government has set an ambition for 10% of England's farmland to be managed organically by 2036, up from 3.4%, in its 10-year Organic Action Plan published 14 October 2026. The plan links conversion to domestic market growth and public procurement. Lasting uptake will likely depend on prices, contracts and processing capacity.
