Def Jam chief Tunji Balogun to leave Universal Music Group

Tunji Balogun, chairman and CEO of Def Jam Recordings, will leave Universal Music Group, UMG confirmed internally on Oct. 14. He will remain through the rest of the year. The departure is part of the final phase of a three-part restructuring first announced in 2024 targeting 250 million euros ($271 million) in annual savings by end of 2026.
