Atoui's Hold tunes bespoke instruments to Tate Modern's Turbine Hall

Tate says Hold, by Lebanese artist and composer Tarek Atoui, opens 13 October 2026 at Tate Modern in London. The 11th Hyundai Commission turns the hall into a vast sonic landscape with bespoke instruments, meaning custom-made sound tools, tuned to the space. Atoui described the hall as a sound vessel to The Art Newspaper. It runs to 11 April 2027.
