DistroKid confirms track removals after UMG claims, disputes lawsuit

DistroKid removed a very small number of tracks from streaming services after copyright claims by Universal Music Group, Vice President of Artist Services Amanda Ferri confirmed on Oct. 12, 2026. DistroKid said it strongly disputes the allegations underlying UMG's September lawsuit alleging deceptive business practices and blatant copyright infringement and regrets disruption to artists.
