Epic ordered no handwritten code on Disney shooter, report says

Epic Games told developers on its unannounced Disney shooter to adopt an "AI-first" workflow with "no more handwritten code", according to a Bloomberg report cited by VGC, published 12 October 2026. A director said all art would be "generated with full AI workflows" using tools including Anthropic's Claude, according to the same report. Epic said it is embracing "AI-accelerated development".
