A 1976 wedding photograph undid the pre-1970 ownership story behind a third-century BC Centuripe pyxis. The Allard Pierson, the University of Amsterdam's museum in Amsterdam, returned the vase to Sicily, saying its image sat on a photographer's film roll alongside the wedding group, contradicting the Swiss dealer's claim at its 1997 purchase.
