ICE Detains Over 1,000 in Metro Atlanta Operation

More than 1,000 immigrants have been detained across metro Atlanta since August under ICE, the federal agency that enforces immigration law, and its Operation Safe Community. Detentions included Buford Highway, Norcross and other parts of Gwinnett County. The scale will shape how residents balance public safety concerns with trust in their communities.
