Zheng becomes first Chinese woman to win China Open

Zheng Qinwen beat Mirra Andreeva 7-5, 6-4 to win the China Open in Beijing. Zheng is the first Chinese woman to win the home tournament. She took both sets without a tiebreak, holding firm late in each. Andreeva, the No. 4 seed, fell short in the final. It is Zheng's first WTA 1000 title, one rung below the Grand Slams.
