Thailand's Chud Thai dress faces UNESCO decision in Xiamen

UNESCO, the United Nations cultural agency, will consider Thailand's Chud Thai national dress for its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the UNESCO body that decides on inscriptions, meets in Xiamen, China, between Nov. 30 and Dec. 5.
