Wilfredo 'Bazooka' Gomez has died aged 69. Former WBO president Paco Valcarcel confirmed the Puerto Rican's passing. The WBC said Gomez spent two weeks in hospital with respiratory complications. A three-weight world champion, he won WBC titles at super-bantamweight and featherweight plus the WBA super-featherweight crown, with 44 wins, 42 by knockout, from 48 fights.
