
Taylor Knibb wins Kona Ironman world title after Løvseth collapse
Taylor Knibb won the women's Ironman World Championship in Kona in 8:36:29. An Ironman is 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run. Defending champion Solveig Løvseth led by over a minute with a mile left, then collapsed. Knibb passed her about 1km from the line. Laura Philipp was second. It reverses 2025, when Knibb led late then withdrew.
