Kipchoge wins Melbourne Marathon in course-record 2:09:10

Eliud Kipchoge won the Melbourne Marathon on debut on 11 October 2026 in 2:09:10, breaking the men's course record by two seconds. The 41-year-old, a two-time Olympic champion and former world record-holder, pulled clear after 30km on the new course. Thomas Do Canto was second in 2:10:35. It was Kipchoge's first marathon win in three years.
