Netflix GenFX head says generative AI needs artists' judgment

James Rustad, global head of GenFX at Eyeline, Netflix's in-house visual effects studio, said generative AI widens shot options but artists decide what serves the story. Visual effects means imagery made or altered by computer. He spoke at InnoAsia at Busan's Asian Contents & Film Market, per Variety. “Artists' judgments are also important” he said.
