Amazon Drops Secrecy Agreements for Local Data Center Talks

Amazon will no longer ask local governments to sign nondisclosure agreements, legally binding secrecy contracts, when negotiating data center projects. AWS chief Matt Garman said the practice has ended, the company confirmed Oct. 9, 2026.
