
Avianca New York Flight Diverts to Miami After Turbulence Injures Eight
Eight people were hurt when an Avianca Airbus A320 flying from Medellín, Colombia, to New York's JFK hit severe turbulence and diverted — made an unplanned landing — in Miami early Oct. 9, the FAA said. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said one person was severely hurt. Avianca said other passengers were rebooked to New York.
