HBO Orders Crazy Rich Asians Series for 2027

HBO has approved an eight-episode Crazy Rich Asians series for HBO Max in 2027. It continues after the 2018 film and uses Kevin Kwan's bestselling books. HBO will produce with Warner Bros Television, with Adele Lim as showrunner, the chief creative lead. The series allows broader stories than the film's two hours.
