SVU 'Volition' premiere mirrors Cornell 7 case, Variety reports

Variety reported Law & Order: SVU Season 28 premiere 'Volition' shares similarities with the Cornell 7 gang rape case. The episode centres on Emily, played by Lizzy DeClement, who believes she was gang-raped while passed out. Showrunner Michele Fazekas said it was written and shot in July. Mariska Hargitay, who plays Benson, has publicly condemned the case, Variety reported.
