Fort Hood Gunman Scheduled for Firing Squad at Time of 2009 Attack

Former Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan is scheduled to be executed by firing squad at Fort Hood, Texas, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said. The time matches his 2009 attack there that killed 13. A military jury — the armed forces' trial court — gave him the death penalty in 2013.
