Prem sets opening-round record with 52 tries

England's Prem scored 52 tries in round one, beating the previous opening-round record despite fewer matches being played, The Guardian reported on 8 October 2026. Round two added 41 more. A try, worth five points for grounding the ball over the line, is union's main scoring method.
