Everton's Martin Sherif fined £5,000 for 61 betting breaches

Everton forward Martin Sherif has been fined £5,000 for breaking football's betting rules. The 20-year-old admitted placing 61 bets on matches between 20 November 2024 and 12 February 2026. Players are banned from betting under FA Rule E8. The sanction closes a misconduct charge first listed in August 2026.
