Austin Abrams to lead Zach Cregger's 'Resident Evil'

Austin Abrams will lead 'Resident Evil' as a medical courier delivering a mysterious package to a zombie-infested city, Variety reports. The film reunites him with 'Weapons' director Zach Cregger, Variety says, after Abrams played a junkie who finds 17 missing children. Variety also links Abrams with Josh Brolin in survival thriller 'Whalefall.'
