Raskin bill proposes Smithsonian preserve and exhibit Trump banners
Rep. Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat, introduced on 7 October 2026 a bill directing the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., to preserve Trump-face banners, signs, photos and videos, his office said. It would require a permanent exhibition at the National Museum of American History in Washington to document resistance to corruption and authoritarianism.
