Kosovo Chooses New President by One Vote, Avoids Early Election
Kosovo's parliament elected Justina Shiroka Pula president early Oct. 7 with 81 votes, one more than the 80 required, just before the deadline expired. A last-minute agreement between the governing Vetevendosje party and opposition PDK broke the deadlock.
