Greece Steps Up Bid for Parthenon Marbles

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis says he will intensify Greece’s campaign to reclaim the Parthenon marbles, and press the case firmly with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham. The 2,500-year-old sculptures, removed under Lord Elgin over 200 years ago, are divided between Athens and London. Mitsotakis says a deal benefiting both sides is possible.
