Mayzee Davies targets 2027 World Cup after 13-month ACL layoff

Mayzee Davies missed Wales' first major tournament at Euro 2025 after an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee injury on duty in May 2025. The 20-year-old Manchester City defender was out for 13 months before returning in June. She told BBC Sport the absence gave her extra motivation for the play-offs and reaching the 2027 World Cup.
