
The Coalition frees 1GB of Xbox Series S memory using SSD storage
The Coalition freed about 1GB of usable memory on Xbox Series S for Gears of War: E-Day. Co-developed with Xbox's Advanced Technology Group, the system trades a couple of gigabytes of SSD storage for headroom. Heuristics keep active data in the 10GB RAM and shift idle data to the NVMe SSD, the console's fast internal drive.
