Pennsylvania's 1,004-Case Measles Outbreak, Explained

Pennsylvania has confirmed 1,004 measles cases this year as of Oct. 5, with 198 people hospitalized and five deaths, health officials said. The outbreak began in April west of Philadelphia and has reached 39 counties. Lancaster County has the most cases at 391. Officials call it the largest U.S. measles outbreak in decades.
