McCarthy says 'Spotlight' brought too little change in Catholic Church

Tom McCarthy told Variety at the New York Film Festival that 'Spotlight' had not caused enough change within the Catholic Church. The film he directed won Best Picture in 2016 and chronicled Boston Globe reporting that exposed the Church's cover-up of abuse of children by priests, Variety reported. Change is not enough until 'every child is safe', he told Variety.
