
AWS Drops Secrecy Deals for Data Center Approvals
AWS will no longer ask local governments to sign nondisclosure agreements — confidentiality contracts — when seeking approval for new data centers, CEO Matt Garman said. He announced the shift in an October 2 blog post arguing the facilities benefit host towns, as more than 100 proposed moratoriums, or temporary bans, face projects across the U.S.
