Venom singer and bassist Conrad ‘Cronos’ Lant died on 1 October aged 63, the band announced in an Instagram post on 1 October. Variety reported Venom influenced Metallica and Slayer. Billboard reported on 2 October that no cause of death was available at the time of its reporting.
