U.S. Seeks 120 Million Barrels of Diesel From EU Stocks

The United States has asked the European Union to release 120 million barrels of diesel, reported Oct. 1, 2026. The request is for EU stockpiles of already-refined fuel ready to use. Nothing has been agreed yet. Whether the EU agrees, how much it offers and when fuel would ship are still open.
