Badenoch tells Conservatives to prepare for possible early election

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has told party staff to prepare for a possible early general election. She said Prime Minister Andy Burnham could call one by next May. Mr Burnham has dismissed the idea. Badenoch confirmed this on 2 October, ahead of the party's conference in Birmingham.
