Nine Swiss museums to probe provenance of 6,300 Cameroon objects
Nine museums in eight Swiss cities will research provenance, the documented chain of ownership, of more than 6,300 objects from Cameroon. Switzerland's Federal Office of Culture announced the joint project on 29 September, reported by The Art Newspaper on 2 October. It awarded SFr100,000 (£91,000) for work in 2027-28 to trace acquisition and ownership.
