Gears of War: E-Day launches without Meat Shields, Chainsaw Duels and Private Lobbies

The Coalition launched Gears of War: E-Day in early access on 1 October without Meat Shields, taking enemies hostage, Chainsaw Duels with Lancer blades, Private Lobbies, player-run match rooms, and leaderboards. The studio said it rebuilt the sandbox from scratch for unified campaign and multiplayer. The features are 'not gone from the franchise'. General release follows 6 October.
