Hong Kong China to meet hosts Australia in 2027 World Cup opener

Hong Kong China will make their men's Rugby World Cup debut against hosts Australia in the tournament opener on 1 October 2027 at Perth Stadium. The Pool A tie is expected to draw 61,000 fans, BBC Sport reports. Hong Kong qualified for the first time and also face New Zealand and Chile in the round-robin group stage.
