Football Leaks founder Rui Pinto loses protected witness status

Rui Pinto, 37, has lost his protected witness status in Portugal. Authorities confirmed the decision. Pinto founded Football Leaks more than a decade ago. His documents prompted UEFA and then the Premier League to investigate Manchester City. An independent commission returned a guilty verdict. City protest their innocence and say they will appeal.
