
Dutch Warning on State Spying via Cars
Dutch intelligence service AIVD warned hostile states could exploit microphones, cameras and GPS in modern cars to monitor drivers. Remote activation is possible in some models, it said, so avoid sensitive conversations in or near vehicles. The Oct. 1 warning named no country. Government purchasing rules and data safeguards are next to watch.
