France and UK May End 2025 Channel Returns Deal

France and Britain are talking about ending their 2025 Channel returns agreement, France's interior ministry confirmed on 30 September 2026. The pilot program — one-in-one-out — let Britain detain people arriving by small boat and return them to France, while accepting the same number through legal channels.
