Grasshopper Manufacture to go independent from NetEase on 1 October 2026

Grasshopper Manufacture will separate from NetEase Games effective 1 October 2026. The Tokyo studio, maker of the No More Heroes series, said it will operate as an independent developer again. NetEase acquired the studio in 2021. It released Romeo Is A Dead Man in February.
