Apple brings variable aperture to iPhone 18 Pro

Apple released Final Cut Camera 2.4 on September 29, 2026, unlocking variable aperture on the iPhone 18 Pro's Fusion Main camera. The free update allows aperture settings from f/1.48 to f/4, a first for iPhone, and adds shutter and aperture priority modes for video, which let the user lock one exposure setting while the camera adjusts the other.
